Hey Bob (aka Lord Thunda) I'd seriously consider temporarily getting over vertigo and fear of heights and a hate of flying, if it means the remote possibility of pulling out the zoom lens for a little aerial photography!

I'll make sure the camera batteries are charged and ready and the memory cards are empty! See you all when you get here! :)

I am totally exhausted from it all... And very relieved to hear that the trading picked up today. And also glad to be reuniting a lost bucket of seives and sapphires with their owners tomorrow! :)
Been getting some good ideas and feedback from people! I need to type up anther submission document for the committee! :)
But now, I really need some sleep! Night all, hope to see some of you tomorrow!

Its essentially a piece of hardened pink charcoal!! Very tempted to tell the current owner to grind it up and embed it into their power tool blades! :) Oops!! Did I say that out loud! :D

you'd possibly be right Paul!! I know that shortly after last years Minerama the committee lost a member who knew lots of places and people, but kept that info to himself! In reality, instead of panicking, the new people.organizing the fossicking should have say down as a team and worked together, instead, the field trip people lost another person, and the remaining ones have been scrambling ever since! It was suggested that they downsize slightly... To cope and learn on the go! Personally, I think they downsized a little too far! The added pressure of OHS hasnt helped! However, we are planning on this years small size being a good foundation for growth for 2013!

Jamo, you make a very good point in asking why general fossickers have a first aid cert or not! To be honest I have no idea why that question wasn't thought of earlier!!
Council did offer a first aid course last year, to all those on council or on 355 council committees! I know that some point blank refused. Others did it! They were going to run a second one, but for whatever reason, it didn't happen!
Its a good thing I'm still working on the agenda for the next meeting, I can slip these new comments and suggestions in!
Hopefully I'll get some information and answers at this meeting! If not, I'll keep trying!

Thanks guys and girls... Your ideas, suggestions and comments have been noted!

I am currently writing up the agenda for the next committee meeting! (It's going to be a long one!) I've gone through this thread and will very shortly, be going through the two Minerama Surveys as well!

I appreciate your imput! Currently the document I have typed up is 3 pages long! Hopefully this means it is the start of change and growth for Minerama!

Your support and feedback is most appreciated!

Thanks again!

I prefer my spinel as pendants or rings! (Although, I have the minor problem of not enough fingers!)
