I saw a few of them in person at the Denver show and talked to a couple of the Busse family. I hear only Joe Dorris, is the only legal prospector on the show with permits, maybe in the first season.

That would of been pretty cool to meet them. I liked it a better then game of stones, which is a bit over the top. Just glad that there are shows like this to keep us entertained.

Hi Folks
I am working way out west and in a "Camp" so keen for entertainment so I too have watched this.
Last night had a family mine who found a "Worlds Best" Smokey Quartz & Aquamarine crystal pair with an estimated value of $300K ...WOW ! Also large Fluorite Crystals & other good stuff.
A bit over dramatised, but that's what you expect I guess.

I watched more episodes of this and there is one thing that kind of annoys me and was also just wondering, is that when they fuse rocks back together. To me this is kind of cheating so to say. I was wondering if they are doing it, how many others that are out there doing the same thing and just dodging up a lot of other so called big finds? Is this a common practice that goes on a lot or is it just amongst big time dealers or sellers?

I wondered about that myself, doesn't sound right. On the other hand if they tell every one that's wanting to buy it that they put it back together it would be like selling rough that has been treated in some way and we know.
