Looking for rocks around Toowoomba areas

Is there any body interested in looking for some nice stones around Toowoomba Ipswich area, I may head down around Laidley, I am new to the area does any body know of places to look for nice agates, Thanks.

You are meant to be able to get topaz round Stanthorpe (only managed to get a few small pieces myself).

Also if you head out to Chinchilla there is plenty of petrified wood to be found in the area.
