Last Sunday when I was driving down the street this bloke was out on the nature strip with what I thought, at first, was a fat hose, but turned out to be his pet python! I did a double take and had to have another look by driving past again. I think he was giving it a bit of sun - rarely seen in these parts (down south) for some months.

I caught one last night at home. In a bag at the moment. It can go sightseeing with me today. Only a small carpet snake, but I don't want it as a pet.

Got to be a bit careful down here in February, Tiger Snake Breeding season they tend to get a bit aggressive.

 Once again the snakes are looking for shinnies and the best dig sites , if you see one looking lost . Or confused , show them the , best place to find shinnies .

In the past that was in a hole I was digging. Not fun to turn up the next morning and find a squatter in the hole, especially a brown snake.

I saw more snakes in 3 summer months in Tassie than 22 years wandering around the bush in the Army. Big Black mothers. Fortunately they were all going away from me. (At least those that I saw!!)
