Andrew your a man of many talents, perhaps your next calling is to become a politician, so then you can introduce an amendment to the fossicking act.  The ALF lobbyists would behind you.  You got my vote!  ;D ::) ;)

Cheers
Mario
lol, I don't want to be a politician. Robots/drones is an area where controlling legislation is needed. Progressively as technology increases there will be very few traditional jobs that can't be replaced.  It will start, has started, with call centers, delivery drivers being replaced with drones, automated supermarket shelf stackers etc etc. There are even Chinese companies replacing workers with robots. 50-100year ??
I wonder if  the current employment/taxation/growth model of our society is suited to the changes coming.

You hit the nail on the head MB, I couldn't agree more. Though immigration should had also been included for consideration in the model too.  Sorry for the temporary hi-jack.   :-[  ::)  Though I still wouldn't mind robot "Rockhound", certainly would help with my ageing eyes!

Jamo really like your finds and what you have done with them and I see your still finding those weird ghostly veiled  ones; they look even better polished up. Nice!  8)

Production faceting us one area where robots would work.  Should be easy to set ap a machine to cut from Gemcad diagrams.

Meet points wouldn't be up to comp standard as the tolerances in the machines to allow movement mean you nrrd to cut in the meets using eyesight.

A robotic eye and AI could replace a human's eye to bring in the meets.
Yours Sincerely
Flash (Gordon)

Hi All

Are we still looking at planning a trip to Powelltown on the 10/11 Feb to coincide with Buckets return for the Roger Waters concert?

I remember Malachi and Bucket saying they were interested and If it's on I will be up for it.

Ideas anyone?

Philip

The 17th is the only day I can be available this trip, I can meet at the Powelltown Pub at around 9 -9.30, but won't be able to stay after 12 ish. Only a short trip this time and lots to do.
Common sense isn't exactly common

I can do the 17th, 9-9:30am at the pub sounds good to me.  Are you OK for the 17th Swirly?

Any other takers just chuck your name down and we can do a tally closer to the date :)

I think I will start a new thread for this trip so we don't get confused looking at it.
