JB Qwik not hardening
« on: October 05, 2017, 09:43:43 PM »
Anyone had any issues with JB Qwik not curing properly? I have been using it the past year and I've not had any issues with it up until I opened some new tubes...I'm mixing 50/50 thoroughly and have allowed adequate curing time...the epoxy still is slightly tacky and soft after 48 hours.

Could this be a batch problem?

Make sure it's 50:50 and mix well. I often then put the transfer jig in the oven at about 35-40degrees C for 30minutes or so to fully cure, just like baking automotive paint. 40 might be a bit hot depending on your oven, start at about 35.

Just read the new tubes bit, maybe the first bit out of one/or both of the tubes is a bit runny, I know the last lot of them I opened one or both leaked a bit with lid on for awhile then stopped.
