4" Portable Trim Saw, cut Stone/Tile/Ceramic/Glass, w Tile Blade
« on: November 20, 2017, 09:41:53 PM »
Saw this saw for sale at Aussie Sapphire. This looks like a great saw from trimming smaller stones to facet gems. I'm a bit confused about the cutting depth? As one comes with a special blade and says the cutting depth is 10.8 mm and the other without  this blade cuts to 14.8 mm. Some of my stones are up to 40 -45 mm that need trimming. This looks like a great machine, and at a good price. May have to inquire about postage costs and what stone size it can cut. But it looks very impressive, as I'm not too keen to spend $600 or more to trim stones.

If your rocks are up to 40mm, you dont want the 4" saw.

That is our cheapest saw and designed for trimming small facet rough.  It is too small for you.

If you are on a budget, suggest you look at the 7" saw - it is still not quite large enough with cutting depth of almost 30mm but you can rotate stone.

Just, bought one ( 7" saw ). Looks nice and portable compared to old school trimmers with huge motors. Cheers Cliff
