Probably have to be patient for a while.  They have to get their wind back after fighting of the leeches and then hauling all those stones out of the creek. They would still have to take the pictures. ;D
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

Not sure who ended up with the best ones at the end of the day but we all managed a good lot of stones.

Jamo got a really nice double terminated one, my dad got a nice piece of Agate and a finger length piece of Citrine.  I got a triple quartz crystal cluster and a large piece of smokey quartz.

I'm now back home and will sort out some photos shortly. Because of my travel plans, I left at lunchtime, Jamo nailed some nice stuff during his stay as did many others. I got a few nice jelly beans, which has now thrown out my leech to nice stone theory! No leeches for me and yet I found some worthy stones, go figure!

Nice stones Philip. Is that a piece of chalcedony/carnelian? Did you all end up up creek or down creek?

Lapis, A few went upstream all day  :(but just to be different we wend downstream in the morning and then went upstream for the afternoon.
Definitely a lot more trees have come down since the last time we were all there, the upstream trek was quite difficult.

Bucket, I didn't get any leaches downstream but within minutes upstream I had a couple on my gloves that quickly got squashed.  I must have missed one that got itself up my shirtsleeve and got me on the inside of my elbow, little bugger must have had a good feed  :(

Peggy, the place was well worked over but there is definitely plenty still there!  I'll prep the ropes for the next time in case you join us :)

The Chalcedony/ carnelian find is very interesting. That's only the second occasion I'm aware of it been found there. A piece was found by someone in our group the first time I ever went there several years ago; I think it was Dwizard or me who found it, can't recall exactly, but the colour was very much identical. I'll compare notes with you Phil next time we get to catch up or PM each other. Phil how large is it, the photo doesn't give any indication of size. The one we found was sadly only a small piece.
Cheers

Malachi, I thought it was agate but i'm happy to be told otherwise :) the piece is a bout 15mm thick and just a bit bigger than a 50cent piece.
The next time we catch up i'll give you a better idea of where it came out of.
