help with Opal equipment and Opals please
« on: October 07, 2018, 08:26:59 PM »
Hi Everyone, very new to this site, I am cleaning up a deceased estate, and have come across an Opal Shed with Opal equipment in it.
What is a bottle of uncut unpolished opal worth??, and if you look at the photos what would the Opal equipment be worth. All help greatly appreciated. Sorry couldn't upload the photos, why cant the photos be uploaded as JPEG??

They can be uploaded as jpegs after you have 5 posts. :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

You might look at Gumtree as a place to post your items for sale.

"What is a bottle of uncut unpolished opal worth??, "

How long is a piece of string? A small brilliant piece could be worth a decent amount. On the other hand a bottle of mostly potch almost worthless. I am afraid many people find things left by friends or relatives and usually have totally unrealistic expectations. But no point guessing without some good pictures with perhaps a 20c piece as a size reference and weight of the package without the bottle.
