I just scrolled down and noticed the sapphires. What do they look like when lit up with a torch ? Any cutters? They look pretty good.

Hi Mark as you can see by the biro tip they are a bit on the small size. I am not sure about cutters as these are the first sapphires that I have ever found. I have just started on fossicking and have a lot to learn

Wes, I don't think they are that small. If they light up and don't have too many cracks they might cut. Bit hard for me to used the biro tip as scale. A coin works well for scale.

Given the location
Clear zircon?
Clear corundum?
Do a specific gravity test (density)

Just completed a specific gravity test on the stone and came up with 4 so it is a sapphire? it weight was 1.20 ct the larger green stone is  3.45 ct

Cool, far better than the topaz I thought it looked like. :)
If it is clean you could get it cut. Clear sapphire would be pretty nice.

Very nice, a good little haul, the clear shinie , could be topaz, quartz, or may be moonstone

Coming from Sapphire I'd say it was a Zircon. I always get a couple in the sieve when i go for Sapphire out there. Check your SG test again as Zircons have a SG of 4.6 as opposed to a Sapphire with a SG of 4. I'm not saying it isn't a clear Sapphire but I'd say more likely a Zircon as they are clear
