The old jasper farm coomera
« on: January 14, 2020, 10:11:36 PM »
Hi
I’m after a contact for the old jasper farm at coomera .
I’m after some jasper from the area and I’m just down at Currumbin. I know it’s been closed for years but hoping the new owner has some left around.
Thanks paul

Sorry Paulp but last year heard that the new owner was planning to dig and sell the jasper himself and was not interested in people coming onto his property (too much of a insurance problem). Topic is some where on ALF.
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

Went there last year, most has been subdivided and built on so any fossicking will be on private property. But check out the gravel beds of the Coomera river, lots of interesting stuff to be found when the river is low and after the 200+mm we had last night, there'll be a lot of fresh material churned up.

Head down to Riverstone Crossing off Maudsland Rd, then into the park on the left and work your way to the river past the massive Fig.
