To all keen facetors out there, you only have a bit over a month to finish your gems for submission to the Australian Facetors Guild's 2020 annual faceting competition.

One of the prizes/trophies, Gemstone Faceting Designs Volume 1 arrived today from Makky Brown along with my copy of Volume 2.

Volume 1 is a ripper of a prize, so if you don't have a copy, now is your chance to check out the competition schedule on the Giild's website and lodge your entry.

Andrew, congratulations on Volume 2. It is great to see innovation in designs in print.  I can see you have put a lot of effort into your designs and have come up with some great designs.  Some of these are quite innovative and I cant wait to get back to the faceting machine to try them out.

Regards
Gordon
Yours Sincerely

Thanks Flash good to hear the books arrived. I'm hopeful I will have an order of volume 2 books arrive this week. I have been having problems ordering books due to the virus. Anyone that has contacted me I have not forgotten and will let you know when the books arrive.
CheersMB

Hi

If you are thinking of entering the 2020 Australian Facetors Guild annual faceting competition, but are worried Australia Post won't deliver on time, take a punt and enter.

I sent 2 parcels express post last week from Brisbane and despite being told Express Post is not being given priority at presemt and notbto expect delivery as usual, both arrived in the usial Express Post time frames, overnight to Sydney meto and within 2 days to Dubbo.

So if you are worried your entry posted tomorrow won't arrive on time, post it now, chances are it will.

When you post your entry, email the competition committee to let us know you have mailed your entry.  We can let you know when your entry arrives.

Regards
Gordon
Yours Sincerely

The books were delivered last week, I am very happy with them!
I love the fact that the books have the same designs for different RI's. And that you can see the different results for different RI's.
If I want to cut every design in the books, I will be busy for a very long time!  ;D
