Fossicking around Glen Innes

This will be our first serious Camping, fossicking trip so any advise on camping and fossicking would be very helpful. Also heard a rumour of good crystals and Thunder eggs a few miles north of Coen on cape york. I plan a trip to investigate in the June, July School Holidays.

Thanks findem I checked. To much information so as it is our first trip we are going to boolabinda and then explore from there.
