Wandong Fossil Site
« on: November 04, 2016, 08:37:52 AM »
Hi Guys,

I was out that way a few weeks ago and thought I would check out this location. I noticed that there was a rope fence around the site so I was a bit apprehensive to enter.

Does permission need to be granted to fossick for fossils here?

Thanks.

its on private property however the story is the landowner went broke and left the place and now the neighbours are making use of his land hence the electric fence I've met the neighbours and they don't seam to mind showed them what I was looking for explained that they came from the sea and at one stage it was all under the sea.

here's a video ive made of the spot.

Hi Rock Hunter,

Thanks for the response. That's good to know, as soon as I seen the rope etc I just didn't feel comfortable going any further.

Nice video by the way  :)
