How about "Round the Bend"? That has a nice ring to it. (Pun intended.)  ;D

Our trip "Round the Bend" went off OK with the usual finds. As I'm an observer these days I'll have to leave it to Captain Mendoza to tell you about his finds.
I'm suggesting Rainy Swamp this Wednesday partly because we haven't had a trip there for a while but mainly because 40mm of rain across the district last Friday/Saturday will have made the Yarrow Creek access tracks out of bounds for a little while longer yet. Hopefully the short Rainy Swamp track will be OK.

Round the bend produced little for me, not so much because gems weren't there, but more the inability to get them from deep skinny cracks in deeper water... :(

Rainy Swamp will be fine to access I'm sure...

Maybe you need a snorkel plus one of these:

Is it cut and welded pipe, or flattened round bar?

I guess it will be Rainy Swamp again, Capt'n, unless you think the Yarrow Ck track will be dry.
No enquiries yet.

Sadly Findem, I am actually working on Wednesday this week... Someone hasn't got my memo yet that I have a preference of fossicking on that day... :D

That's OK. I could just go and look at the creek, I suppose.  :-\
I repotted 4 or 5 plants yesterday. Today I know why I made the right decision not to go fossicking any more.  :'(

G'day John, wish we were up your way for a dig at yarrow ck. The time my son and I spent at  ' the crossing ' with your group is a special memory  :) Hope to get back up there this summer and we hope your aches and pains disappear with the warmer weather, Crab.

Hi Crab - thanks for the kind words. Any time out fossicking is a good time, whether I'm sitting on the bank or down in the creek. We'll see what happens but for the time being it's bank sitting!  :'(

That's OK Capt'n. mg and mrs mg wil be along next Wednesday.
As for yesterday, the finds remained unpicked (just like yours) so I can't be sure that any cutters turned up, but I noticed several that looked OK.
