Melbourne Resouces
« on: February 13, 2013, 09:41:36 AM »
I spent a couple of days in the Big Smoke ( Melbourne) while seeing off my Saudi visitors at the airport and went to Australian Jewellery Supplies and to APECS investment castings. Both were most helpful and willing to assist. I was after carving wax and ring and earing blanks and came home well supplied. Both say you can register online and order direct once you get a login from them.
I also brought an ring stick for sizing rings and some gem boxes. I drooled over the investment  and wax casting equipment but mustn't go there...no mustn't. ::)
I ran out of time to visit Koodaks which were in the same building as AJS on a different floor. All are very convenient if you are in central Melb as they are close to the corner of Collins and Swanston St in almost adjacent buildings.
Very happy camper ;D Now to get into setting some of these stones.

Geology Rocks, I really dig it.
My rocks are gneiss, don’t take them for granite.

I sat down last night with the  AJS catalogue and it seems they have offices in all capital cities. If anyone wants addresses just PM me. But  their website also has all the info. Their casting supplies are A1. I am drooling for a centrifugal caster ...but it stops there. ;D

Hi guys,
I work in Melbourne, CBD and in the jewellery trade. I know where a large amount of suppliers are and generally who stocks what. Let me know if I can help at all  :)
