I have a rotary tumbler& I am looking at getting a vibrating tumbler as well. I would like to know the method of using & when to use nut media . Is it used with water . Thanks in advance Bandy

Nut shell is used for dry polishing - usually metal.  Do not add water.

If you are polishing yellow metals (gold, brass, copper, etc), the nut shell will commonly be used with red rouge.  if polishing white metals (eg. aluminium, stainless steel, chrome, etc), it will usually be used with green rouge.

It is usually not used to polish rocks.
