Stonetes "Tes Lap"

hey guys
has anyone seen or used a stonetes "Tes Lap"? it looks interesting for a part time hobbyist like myself and the price is about all i can afford for a machine. i understand that it would take longer to cut a stone and you would have to be very careful of chips in between the stone and the lap. any comments would be great about it im not in a hurry to buy maybe looking towards the end of the year.

Hi Ben,
There's a short thread here. Not sure if anyone has tried it but with a lot of elbow grease it should work. It's horses for courses.

Hi Ben,

feel free to post this kind of thing - this is what ALF is all about.

the Stone-Tes looks like hard work to me but cant argue with the price.  Definitely worth a look.

thanks for the links Mehoose i had the one from his site but didnt think it appropriate to post it  but the other one was good to read

i  still like the look of it. i know its a bit of hard work but im not looking to finish a stone in a night although the youtube link i posted he does a sys ruby pavilion and girdle to polish in around 1/2hr or so. im just looking for something to learn the aspects of faceting and when i get better (or rich  ) i might invest in a powered machine
