Topaz tec 5 facetting machine manufactured 1992
« on: December 12, 2023, 12:22:18 PM »
Hi recently purchased the topaz tec 5, unfortunately there was no manual from the previous owner. The company was based in Brisbane, however I'm struggling to find any information. My club (Mount Gravatt) doesn't have any info in the library. A couple of members have older machines from the 80's but they don't have the prism alignment on the protractor. Would appreciate any info, documents on this machine. I know l have to get a single line when aligning, but l'm really finding this difficult on a consistent basis. Yes I'm very new and it may be a rookie error problem. Any assistance appreciated Cheers Nick

Sorry mate, that's not a machine I am familiar with and not exactly sure what you mean about the prism alignment. post a photo or two and we'll see what we can figure.

Welcome to the forum Nick,
Some photos would be great and give up a chance of figuring it out. I assume the machine is the predecessor to the XT6 I have seen pictures of.
