Heart of the Mountain
« on: January 07, 2024, 06:19:59 PM »
I've committed myself in my design book Volume 6 to cut an Arkenstone as I used a quote from the Hobbit, so better get stuck in. Just dopped a big lump of cz with super glue. Next I'll be added a heap of dextone so it has no chance of coming off.
Atm the design subject to change has 1020 facets and will be greater than 40mm diameterMight take awhile :)

Gezze peeps, 1020 facets what would that take you? (Three weeks effort)?

I will be following your progress 😊. Mountain is the right name - it’s massive

1020 facets! Wow that's a lot and a lot of time cutting it as well.

Gee I hope it is not too big for my transfer jig. Just under 42mm diameter.
