It was just good luck that I wound up my African handcraft shop in March of 2017. I managed to clear most of the stock at reduced prices but still with a mark up and closed with all invoices paid for and no outstanding bills. I feel for people in business throughout the Corona lockdowns and disruption and thank my lucky stars I had decided to retire.
With a lapidary interest I also dealt with fossils, semi precious specimens, opal. lower cost gemstones and fabricated jewellery which I made using sterling silver, gold, opal and mostly African gemstones. It would have been useful to have had this link posted below with very helpful information about gold values in jewellery and the way gemstones are regarded when resold.
