Looking good. Now you will meet that centre point P1 formed with P2 and then P3. Hopefully P3 and P5 will get rid of the uncut bit.

Fingers crossed that big dop doesn't get in the way when you start with the girdle.

Almost there  with #600 grit on P1, P2 and P3. Just had to take a photo as I don’t have a loupe yet. Bit hard to see the points in the shed. Ah yes should have used a smaller dop.

Looking great and coming along very nicely. Just make sure you don’t make it to wide, if you look at the size data the height to width ratio is 1 to 1.106. So, if the stone is now 11mm high, it cannot be more than 10mm wide.

Thanks Frank, bugger so much to learn I’ve missed or forgotten all about hight and width. So it’s still sort of rectangle shape. 16.6mmx 14.75mm and hight is about 14mm , but the crown and table still needs to be cut.

At 14mm high you don’t want it to be more than 12mm wide. If you look at the side view of the stone in the cutting instructions it will show what P and C are and in the size data what percentage they are relative to the width dimension H/W being the total of P and C. So, the finished stone is 10% higher than it is wide plus the girdle which is not much, say around 0.5mm. There is a nice flat surface to work with when cutting the table, so if I was cutting this stone I would keep the width no greater than 80% of the total height of the stone at the 1200 grit stage. This would give me some room for error when cutting the crown. Then cut C1 to C5 without establishing the girdle width on C1, but leaving it too thick. Only when I’m happy with the angles, meet points are working ok, that I would cut it deeper to establish the girdle width.

Been cutting grass😊 it’s growing crazy after so much rain.

The stone- after I cut G2, P4&P5 then polish (or not) I may have to put (re-dop) it on smaller dop. It will probably be misaligned.

Measuring your dop off the computer screen assuming it’s a ¼” dop, then it must be about 11mm wide where its glued to the stone. That would be ok.

The dop looks to have a brass head that flares out to atleast 10mm. I could do a re-design if you give me another Length/Width

Turn it into a 14 dia. standard brilliant with a faceted girdle. There is still plenty of depth left in the girdle to do that no problem.
