Manual or advice for Robilt flat lap
« on: November 13, 2023, 08:29:10 AM »
Hi folks, I recently bought a robilt vibrating flat lap from a deceased estate. Came with the laps and trays but seems to be springs or something missing to secure the grinding/polishing trays. Does anyone have one or a manual that can help me out. I wish to use mainly as flat lap but still want the option of vibrating lap. Motor came separate but works, I will need a belt. Not sure how to put a pic up here. Ta 😊

John Wiley is still around as far as I know, he is in Melbourne and is usually good for information if you can catch up with him.

Can you take a few pictures and post them in the gallery?

The belt should be reasonably easy, just get a tape measure and measure the circumference (how far it is around both pulleys) you can get them at any bearing supply place. You will need the width of the belt usually 3/8 or 1/2 inch.

Springs. Possibly not springs, I have seen the trays suspended on rubber hose and some vibe laps came out using rubber super balls as support. if it's suspended then it's possibly hose if it's sitting on something then maybe rubber balls.
