Hi mate,
There are some small grassy type fossils at the beach headland at killcare beach but nothing to rave home about. I have heard of people finding fossil ferns at the base of the skillion at Terrigal but I am pretty sure it was after a rock fall many years ago. There are good leaf fossils and a few other types of fossils to be found at Mereweather beach in the cliffs and past the pools also petrified wood and agate (but it's rare), Dudley also has good leaf fossils and on the south side there is an old petrified wood forest (this is protected I think). Even try around the Swansea area, there are a few interesting beaches there that you can find stuff. If you get a chance to head to Mulbring or kitchener in the hunter, there are plenty of sea fossils to be found. If I think of anything more, I will let you know.
I am also from the central Coast so I have explored a lot!
Cheers
Col
