palmer gold field/sapphires

Hey all antone spent any time around Palmer river as I've been up at port Douglas and cooktown for the last six months and found out there's sapphires in the was at the old may town diggings plus some around innisfail turns out there's quite a bit if stuff in fnq you won't find on the internet
The bbbbbbird bird bird bird is the word has everybody heard about the word

Curran did you find any yourself and tell us some more about colour and quality if you did?   ::) ;) :D

Hi Curran
Sapphire on the Palmer not so much, however the Jordan creek Gold fields (up the Johnson/ Gilbert town /Innis fail) was renown as a sub basaltic lead which produced both gold and gemstones.

I'm aware of the innisfail sapphires but I'm learning from some locals u here that there's a lot things to dig in fnq that I can't find info on the net about
