Yabby Pump attachments...

Hi JAD,
I haven't myself but I've seen a few people using attachments.  One was a plastic tube added to the end so that it was easier to get around/between rocks and it also protected the end of the pump.  Another was a smaller tube within a bigger tube .... the concept was that the gravel would be sucked up the smaller tube and fall into the outer tube and after a couple of pumps you would take off the attachment and empty it into a bucket.... not sure how well that worked and probably only useful if there's only a small amount of gravel?  Another one was a tube attached at right-angles so that you could get under rocks and logs etc.  That one seemed to work OK.

I attached plastic screw on plumbing parts so that If I get a stone stuck in my pump I can still get it out... Works well, but mixed results the more rockier the wash gets...  Had trouble keeping the brass wingnut to stay on the end as it losened itself all the time, put a tightening cap over the nut to stop it coming undone...
