yes there are quite a few familiar "faces" - some we've pointed in the direction of GO and some have travelled back the other way to us.  Everyone is very welcome.  We've been on GO for ages but this forum ALF came about when a less active group (Australian Gemstones) got turfed out of MSN Groups when it closed down last year.  It seemed a good opportunity to gather up the few keen members and get them together here - it is working really well with new members joining up all the time.

A different purpose to GO so we feel comfortable in both spots.

cheers

Hi Jason,

Nice to see you on ALF, I did notice the S was missing earlier, and went to let you know, walked out of the room and fell asleep so come back to tell you, but you already know hehe.

Take Care,

I try to read every tid bit of info I can find on australia.  I think you guys have so many awesome rock and mineral locations.  There is so much untapped wealth down there.  it's a rockhound and mining paradise.  i actually just finished reading a book on the uranium mines there, outside the city of darwin like Mt. brockman and coronation hill...good stuff..Love the chrysoprase from there too.

We seem to have 2 locations for good Chryso, Marlborough in QLD and Western Australia. Of course they are both on completely opposite sides of Aus but you could sure have fun digging your way across.
Keep em comin!!!
