Hi Jerry
I booked the Pretty Valley and Lonewood trips today by just calling the visitors centre.

I dont know where you're getting the numbers from Paul, the guy at the Visitors centre didnt know how many were booked in.
Jerry seemed to think the max was going to be 25.

Pretty Valley - 35

Swamp Oaks-  25
is what I said  :)

because of these 2 pages  ;D

I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

Traditionally those trips are limited in numbers and were not available to book online for that reason but as we are not involved in the committee, not sure if things have changed.

The people volunteering at the visitor centre dont always have a full grasp of the details on Minerama or fossicking generally really - it is not always regarded as a high priority topic for the volunteers (unless they happen to be interested themselves) and so sometimes the information is not always as up to date or complete as it could be.

Perhaps someone on the committee could check into the numbers situation and clarify.

cheers

Hi Paul/Jerry
Those side trips we were talking about earlier. I dont suppose either of you could point us towards some Torrington Topaz?
Last time we were there I remember digging a 2metre deep hole and hanging upside down over a log with Lesley hanging onto my feet, without any success.
Pretty please ;D

Hi Guys,

Thanks a lot for your help before. I booked Pretty Valley trip.
I am just wondering if you know any areas around Wollongong or in the south  where i can do fossicking. Just want to try it before I go to Glenn Innes .
Cheers,
Inna

No need to panic guys  ;D Pretty Valley & Swamp Oak have limited numbers on the pre-booking schedule. It will be limited & once it reaches that limit a notice will come up stating tickets can be bought on the day.

I am on the Minerama Committee & will be pushing for more trips next year. With all the locations I will be doing a 3-4 sieve run to make sure ppl get value no matter where they will be going. Nothing worse  than wasting a day looking & not finding anything. I am also pushing for areas around Torrington to Inverell to be  included next year. I cannot see why we cant run 5+ days of trips next year given the number of locations available & obviously the only problem has been lack of First Aid qualified leaders.

For next year (2013) what trips would ppl like to see included?
