Having a go with Snap-Sure settings
« on: August 20, 2014, 09:20:03 AM »
On a recent trip North we called in to Aussie Sapphire and bought a few Snap-Sure settings in various sizes. Ear studs and some pendants. We have been amassing quite a collection of cut gemstones and were looking to have a go at setting the stones ourselves. We are only new to it and the Sure-Snap settings seem to be an easy way to start. They are easy to use and we are happy with the results.  Thanks Leah!! beers

They are looking good.

Yes - the snap settings are a good way to get started.  Nice to be able to wear or gift something that you have dug out of the ground yourself.

Cast settings are not much more difficult but the snaps are an easy way to begin - you can then work your way up.

cheers

interesting settings  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

Beautiful work Drids.

Its always satisfying seeing your rough gems go through to final settings ... and yours look great.

Not hard to use. We are only amateurs so it needs to be simple. Very happy with how they turned out.
