Upload folder is full error message recv'd
« on: December 14, 2010, 03:44:37 PM »
Hi,  I went to attach a photo, size 78k, to a thread i have on topic, Bad day at blue hill, and recv a message that my upload folder is full. Does that mean i have used up my quota for the day?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

This is a global setting - all the attached photos go in a folder which has a size limit.

I can increase this size and will do so shortly.

However, for this reason, it is better to upload photos to the media gallery and link them to your messages as these files just get stored in separate folders for each album and we do not have the size limit of the message attachments folder.

No probs.  Will get on to it asap anyway.

When you attach the link, do it like this:
Code: [Select]
[smg id=1614]
this code is given for you for each photo or just use the code above and change the id number as required.
I have edited your blue hills message - if you modify or edit the message, you will see the code in use.

This way, people can see the image within the message, enlarge it and go to it within your album if they like by using the "in-image" links.

cheers
