Novice in need of advice on Opal

Hello to the forum, I’m a new member and this is my first post. As complete novice I’d really appreciate some advice about this Opal that is hopefully pictured below and a few more pics in the gallery showing the other side. The top face of this 13.4 Carat Opal has gone quite cloudy from how it was stored for the past many years.
I basically want to know if this is an Opal that has some value that’s worth getting professionally cleaned and polished? Can they be easily restored once they’ve gone cloudy like this one?
I’d really appreciate some advice about what kind of Opal it possibly is, approximate value range and how to proceed with it.
I was a little tempted to put it in my ultrasonic cleaner and give it a polish myself but I thought better of it after a researching a little bit.
The Opal was given to us (my daughter and I)  along with a bucket full of assorted Crystal and gemstone by the family of the person that fossicked it all. We’re also a bit curious about some of these items as well.
I’ll take some better pics of it in the sunlight if required, it has some really nice colour imao.
Thank you.
Edit- I’m fairly sure there photos are in public gallery.

Welcome to the forum Pinzi. Firstly, you are correct, this is what is known as a crystal opal, it won't necessarily have gone cloudy through storage if it's Australian opal. By getting it polished it will bring out the colour and make the stone look clearer. If you dip it in water, it will give you an idea of what it will look like polished. Your local lapidary club may be a good stop to see if anyone there works in opal. Secondly, as far as valuation goes, I would wait until it's polished as this, if it's done properly, will add value to it. Your photos don't show a lot of colour in it, it may just be the photos, but it it looks better in the flesh, it should be more valuable. Again, the lapidary club maybe able to help you with valuation as would a professional gemmologist, but you will have to pay for their services. It may turn out to be more valuable as a keepsake of the person who left it to you. Either way, you won't be able to retire on what it would bring! I hope this helps you, as you should understand, it's extremely hard to value something via a photo, particularly opal.
Common sense isn't exactly common
