Once you've got a few tumbled gems sitting around, you start to wonder what to do with them. Wire wrapping is a great way to turn a free-form tumbled stone into a pendant and you dont need sophisticated tools or supplies to get started.
Here is a link to a free wire-wrapping project to give you some ideas. (http://www.jewelryandbeading.com/2008/10/14/a-freeform-wire-wrap-by-paul-bishop/)
This technique can be modified to suit crystal points and beads as well so get creative and start doing something with your collection of tumbled rocks. Christmas is coming up for those in need of gift ideas.

These are excellent links, years ago I made a wire cage for a piece of sky blue obsidian, this was my travel stone, I no longer have it as it was buried with a female wolf that had become attached to me and she wore it on her last day of life, so now it will forever be with her. I will have to have a go at wire wrapping again, it is also something that I could do at work. So a big thank you for the links.
Take Care
