Title: Sydney Lapidary Clubs
Post by: MALACHI on July 05, 2018, 01:49:02 PM
Hi everyone. I haven't posted for quite a while. So please help us out? I am trying to do a friend a favour by locating a lapidary/Gem club for her aged father . So could someone please let me know of any club that is located near Baulkham Hills ( Sydney).   ::) ;)

Cheers  beers

Thanks for the leads JJ. Just made a list of potential clubs and checked for proximity to Baulkham Hills. Will be forwarding the details. I hope he decides to check them out.
Cheers  beers  :) ;)

If they actually want to go on trips I recommend they DON'T join Beecroft - but lots of machines etc.

Jerry - you belong to Parramatta Holroyd club don't you??  Do they still do the occassional field trips?

No and no idea.  Am a member of Blaxland Mineral & Lapidary Club.  Sometimes go down to Parra for Mineral Society of NSW meetings.

Parramatta Holroyd and Beecroft are the clubs that I was going to recommend only for proximity, though I will be including Rooty Hill and Fairfield as well. The person I'm helping out is a retired jeweller and may only want a place to continue plying his skills and a place to socialize; the fossicking maybe something he will be interested in too, but this I'm not sure of? Thanks for the help!  :) ;)

I can highly recommend Parramatta Holroyd. Lovely bunch of people with a wide range of expertise. Always happy to help out newbies & really make people feel welcome.
