I thought of it after mixing up the 3 and 6 notches on my index.  On a Facetron the 3, 6 and 9 indexes aren't numbered, the index mark is longer than the other notches (but the 6 index has a dot over it) a bit like the old inch markings on a ruler.  I rotate the diagram so as many indexes as possible coincide with a numbered index (12, 24, 36 etc).

it helps when I am cutting late at night.  :-[
Yours Sincerely
Flash (Gordon)

Performing is nice ! Not much cutting!
Still an amateur , never used glue and probably won't . Would of ran into heaps of problems without wax . Repositioned stones on all my first ten or more by heating and moving .finding problems in stone later while polishing , reposition , recut and save the stone.
Havnt lost a sapphire on wax yet either , dominatrix lap heated one and moved a bit , but got around that ( wax... Reset with a little heat easily)
Thanx ... Agemcutr .. Lucky i found you...i Got taught properly from the start.
If anyone has a gemmasta preformer for sale ... Please contact me
redeading this ....i didn't mean in anyway the dominatrix is not any good , first time i used it for corrundum and was probably user error as i am still a novice :) have had excellent results on topaz/ garnet and will try again on sapphire ..
