Doco - "Blood Diamonds"

Did anyone see the Doco "Blood Diamonds" on the History Channel last night? It was a good one - outlining the history of the diamond trade in Africa / World.
I was truly shocked - so sad to see the waste and human suffering in Angola, Sierra Leone, Congo and Liberia...and  I was angered to see that the "super powers" provided the guns again to help people to kill each other and got richer doing it.
...we are so lucky here in Oz.
Anyway look out for it - but it is definitely not for the squeamish, it's very graphic but not for hype, very sad... gems and greed driven poverty seem to mix.

Didnt see that one - dont have pay TV.  Sounds really interesting

Saw the movie with Leonardo Di Caprio - but gruesome but not a bad story.  My only quibble with the movie was the unrealistic happy ending with the black family - I dont reckon anyone caught up in all that would have come out of it as unscathed as Hollywood would like to portray it.
