Most of the pulsator out there seem to run at about 100-120 beats per minute (about 2 per second).

Hey Snappa.

That pulsator is coming along really well. Looking forward to seeing it working.

Having a look at your cam you are using to push the tyre, is that adjustable? You may have to fine tune it to get the correct amount of movement of the wash.

What colour are you going to paint it? I was thinking that a two tone number would look great and a couple of racy decals on the side would really set it off. ;D

Great work.
I started out with nothing
And still have most of it left.

Gday Snappa
I have managed to pick up an old side pulsator that was made years ago by a guy called Gould I think he used to be or still is next door to Pats Gems Looks a beauty. I just need to put a motor on it. How many rpm are you running at the tyre. Or could you give me the following as i have found a calculator on the web.
Drive pulley - Slave pulley and motor rpm ? I am looking at 2 one motor is 1480 rpm and the other is 2840 dont know which will suit but am leaning to the 1480.
After looking at mine I think the 1" pump would probably be suitable how does yours run with it?

I didnt get time to get over and knock the grass down on your block last weekend as there were storms rolling in and we spent the weekend in Rubyvale but weather permitting will be out there again about 13th for a week if it still needs it i will give it a trim.

G'day Drifter,

The name of that bloke was Dave Gould and unfortunately he passed away around this time last year. He did indeed live just up from Pats Gems- there used to be a great heap of old car bodies in his yard. He was one of those men that could make practically anything as long as he had an oxy set, a welder and a pile of scrap metal.

There are not a lot of those blokes left here on the fields these days and as each one falls off his perch the gemfields are a poorer place due to the loss of knowledge and experience.
