Greetings from Port Moresby!

Hi Everybody...
       I've discovered that there's no fossicking here in Port Moresby, but there is some gold a bit further out of town.  Not about to risk it though - between landholders and virulent mossies I think I'd be on the losing end of the deal.

The internet is very slow here, so I won't be attempting to post any pikkies.  Suffice to say that I was most surprised that the town is quite run down and dirty.  Very little maintenance of anything appears to be done.

thanks for checking in Shane - we'll be interested to hear your adventures when you get back.  I think you're probably right about the gold - best left to the locals and mozzies I think.

Mozzies grrrrrrrrrr, but watch out for them there hunters of heads, so no matter how hot it might be make sure you wear a cast iron scarf  ;)
