How to make a seive
« on: March 13, 2012, 09:57:50 AM »
Has anyone got any ideas on how to make a seive the smaller one with the coarse/larger holes in it that you use above the finer seives one that is good for processing/breaking up the clay and other clumps of dirt?

Conduit and mesh got one I made to fit into the top of a bucket. The mesh was bent around the conduit section and then a conduit ring that I had split was glued and screwed on the outside to hold it in place. Then after a few cuts on the hands I ground the screws back.

Depends on what size your after but I have conduit from 16mm to 250mm. Found the 250mm fits the 15L buckets nicely.

JBK, nice video. I should spend some time checking out you tube for other than blupers.

Funny you mentioned that TG,  I’ve watched all episodes of “ Bering Sea Gold” and “Gold Rush Alaska” on youtube and now have hunting fever again.  :)

Great video interesting idea but not sure it will work with the coarser mesh that i require but still for finer mesh sieves that would be way better than paying 60 bucks for a set.
Thanks JBK
