Hi Merryn,
The colours of the rough finds are as close as I could get them. The orange zircon cut ruby red I use it as my signature photo. The blue sapphire should be cut as an oval something I need to practice first.

Love that Zircon, :-* well cut!
Zircon cuts into such a great Gem,very under rated in the trade if used in the right Jewellery.
 Cheers Andrew

Hey Ted,
You need practice with the oval?
I thought you were an old pro at this faceting game. There's nothing wrong with your Avatar. Just how long have you been at it? ;)

Hi Ted and Merryn,

Just on for a short while like a few mins before going to get a goat.

Ted do you have a half decent pattern for an oval cut. I have used some designs for ovals from top designers and couldn't get a decent stone out of them, not sure why. I do my own in Gemcad by altering the scale of the SRB, and seems to work, thats what I did when I cut the smokey oval. Anyway have have attached a PDF of one in quarzt angles.

Hope this helps. If it does, let me know and will do one in Sapphire angles.

Take Care all,
Deb  ;D
Ron and I have an Appointment to do some Laps ;) ;D

Hi Deb,
Whoa girl your racing ahead here, I have only roughed out the oval pavilion, doing 12 main oval brilliant from Evan Williams "Australian Facet Designs" adjusted for quartz angles.I will let you know how it works, but note my last post it will be 3 weeks before I get on with it .
So thankyou for the offer but sit down, have a smoke and rest your sore back for 3 weeks.
      beers Ted

Hi Ted,

3 weeks? Gee my pain only lasts 3 days if I take it easy and rest.

Just got back from picking up little (Billy) Goat, what a little cutie.

Not sure if I heard of a 12 main oval brilliant, Is it anything like umm what I am about to attach?

Take Care and don't get bee stung,
Deb  ;D

Hi Deb,
No its quiet different, cuts breaks first then level girdle gives the oval outline. Can't post here as its copyright would get wacked  :-X, you might get an email tonight.Heard rumour you bent over in front of a billy goat and got bunted? :o

Hi Ted,

Your rumours only half true, I didn't get bunted but the dogs sure did, and when Billy met Booey our old angora goat well booey bunted Billy in the head. I just been hand feeding wee Billy some bamboo leaves  ;D
An email shhhhhh don't tell everyone you email me, they might think somthing suspect is going on  ;)

Be good,
Deb  ;D
Ron and I have an Appointment to do some Laps ;) ;D
