2012 Giveaway
« on: December 18, 2012, 09:04:13 AM »
The 2012 Giveaway was drawn on Sunday evening and the lucky winner was Robert McG from NSW (Hunter region) who made a purchase in April of this year.

Congratulations to this lucky customer and good luck to everyone else for next year.

We will take a bit of a breather over Christmas and then have a think about what to put up for next year's prize.

Thank you to everyone for your support - we've got lots of good stuff planned for next year now that we are settled into our new bigger and better warehouse.

cheers from the Aussie Sapphire team.

Thanks for hosting this wonderful forum and your generousity in the giveaways competition.

But I can't remember what the prize was for this year? What did I miss out on with my two or three purchases/entries.

Also wondering how do make a draw from purchases made ... is there a computer program or something?

Prize this year was $1000 gift voucher - that was a bit easier to organise with everything else going on.  Was chatting to the winner this arvo about some spending options  8)

Drawing is done by entering all the order/invoice numbers for the period March to December in one column in Excel - randomly generated numbers in the next column.  Sort in order of the random number column and whoever's number rises to the top of the list is the winner.  So the randomness is all taken care of by the magic of spreadsheet nerdiness.

We've had the new logo for a while and have not had a chance to incorporate it everywhere - just noticed I missed a spot on the left hand column on ALF.  Trying to tidy up all these loose ends before the end of the year.

New warehouse is GREAT - make sure you visit when you are in Glen Innes. We are feeling very organised and efficient. Lots of great things planned for 2013 so stay tuned.

cheers from Leah and Andrew

Thanks Leah and Andrew.

Might pass through Glenn Innes in mid to late January and would love to drop in. Not sure I'll any funds left after Vietnam wanderings, but would like to check out some larger tumblers.
