Paul
As far as I know you are in the right area - I've put some feelers out into some of my "timber-network" to see if I can scare anything up
I've put going there in the 10 year plan and will let you know how I go
How does that sound?

I just thought of another line of enquiry so I'm following that up as well.
I always think of these things as being - "If was any good lots of people would know about it or it's all been taken already"

Nah, have to disagree. Most people have stopped looking hard. They keep going to the same places and the exploration factor has gone.

I've been to so many places for which I was told the best years were over ... only to discover excellent fossicking nearby.

Fortunately some places are still remote enough and hard to get to ... but still have lots to yield for those that make the effort.

I hope you keep looking for this blue agate as I doubt it's only in one site in that forest.

I'd have to agree with Fullerton ;) It's rarely all been found

Cheers

I was thinking of you Wal with your expeditions up north, Micks hiking through the hills for jade around Nundle and my own experiences across Northern Australia.

There's also Chris with his 'no dig' extra large size topaz at Stanthorpe, the surprises coming out of Tasmania, Rockhunter finding new sites in Victoria and Jamo's crew at Powelltown.

Lots more to be found I'm sure  :)
