Christmas bling
« on: December 25, 2013, 05:09:09 PM »

Dad had my wife, sister-in-law and niece some good bits of bling made - reckons it's his "swan song" ::) He's not ready to drop off the perch or anything, just seems to think that since he's only a few years short of 70 he wanted to hand out some mementos. He already owned all the faceted stones so that brought the cost down a bit.

Sister-in-law's ring - a larger green sapphire offset by two smaller yellow-greens.

Niece's pendant, an aquamarine.

Wife's pendant - an aquamarine offset by two emeralds. To me, the bottom emerald (an Australian stone) looks more like an aquamarine while the top one (from Brazil or Columbia I think) looks more like what I expected emeralds to look like. Not that I know a great deal about emeralds.

Very impressive bling  :)
I try to take one day at a time, but sometimes several days attack me at once.

The girls were very happy ;) Wife wants a ring made, she has her eye on an oval brilliant cut orange zircon I have. I found when I was about 8 years old and grandfather had cut. Been sitting in a case for about 30 years so I suppose I might as well do something with it.
