Lap Resurfacing Service
« on: July 18, 2014, 05:11:09 PM »
Been offering this for some time but finally have it listed to buy online.

We all know Metal or Copper laps can be contaminated or damaged or just get worn out - over 95% of these Laps can be made usually better than new with the high quality Diamond Lathe tools we use today.

We normally machine about 0.040" to 0.080" ( about 1-2 mm) to ensure any Diamond used in the past has been removed.

Its simple - $44 for one usable side of a 6" Lap and then $22 for each side after that so gather them up and save ;D

Prices for 8" are just a bit more and are online.  Reason for the higher first Lap is we need to change a fair bit on the Lathe to set up for Lap work after general Machining.

Link: click on 6" or 8" to see more detail and have a look at the short video :

And I can highly recommend the job done on my type metal lap in March which was used to polish my Asscher Topaz.
