New England Fossicking

Hey guys,

Im a new 19 year old fossicker to the forum. In the past I have found some beautiful sapphires and zircons from around the New England area. (I am a local). I was wondering anyone could tell me if sapphire can be found as far east as Ebor? One of my mates have a beautiful private property about 30kms west of ebor that looks like the perfect location. I am just wondering if sapphire has been found this far west?

Yes they have been in the past but some of it is now in Cathedral Rock National Park so off limits.

If you can access private land which includes Snowy River you may get lucky.  There is also a discussion on sapphires near Ebor in the Fossicking Locations section of the ALF forum.

Yeah, its all private property the place I have in mind. About 10km of beautiful creekbed that'd most likely be virgin soil.
