Alice Springs fossicking trip

I'm headed to Alice Springs for a fossicking trip and I'm looking for partners for this journey. I'm hoping to go to the hearts range and mud tank but I don't have a vehicle. it's my first time to the area and I'm happy to rent a vehicle and could use some knowledge about the area and if anyone knows of a good rental place in town it would be great. any and all information is appreciated, thanks!
