How to post pic?
« on: February 20, 2016, 04:51:14 PM »

How can I get a pic from the Gallery, and insert it into a Forum Post? :-\ ???
Keep it simple, all this computer stuff is not my forte.

    Cheers Muzza.

Thanks for the reply Leah.

But I am still in the dark.

I am OK placing pics into the "Gallery" and viewing them there,

but what I want to do (If possible) is to use a pic in a "forum Post"  to assist with the question asked in that Post or to demonstrate through a picture what I am posting about.

For example see "WA Tiger Iron
" post from today where the author has posted pics of his rocks.
Now I cant get rid of the underline?

Sorry to be a pain.
Muzza.

Muzza,

When you post a pic to the gallery there will be some links underneath the picture..... if you copy and paste those links into your post it will provide a thumbnail of the picture.

The link I used for my WA Tiger Iron post was the "BB Medium Image Code"......so I highlighted that link then copy and pasted it.

Hope that makes sense.

Cheers

Exactly as Bones74 has described.

This is a medium image picture from the Gallery:

This is the code used to post that photo:

Code: [Select]

It is the 3rd of 5 image linking code options when you view an image in the Gallery.
The Image Linking codes are provided below the image and above the comments box.  Just copy/paste whichever one you want to use.  I normally find the Medium Image one the best because it gives a good size image in your post but still allows people to click on it to go to the image in the Gallery if they want to comment there.

Also gives direct image links in case you want to link to the image from another site.

Cheers

Pleased to report     ALL GOOD ;D

Thanks to both Bones 74 and Leah, I have just inserted a pic into one of my previous posts successfully.

I was previously selecting "Attachments and other options" from the "new topics" page, clicking the  Browse button, selecting my pic and then trying to paste to topic.   This didn't do it for me.

All good now but!  thanks again.
