Short hand/ Code Explained

Now for a banjo playing, gun toting redneck, I do scratch my head at some of these codes and have put my own interpretation to them. How about some help for us hillbillys.
True definitians would be appreciated.
LOL = ?
ROFL = ?
ROFLAMO = ?
OMG = ?
ETC.

Okay, my turn.  You said you wanted them explained "for real", so here goes:

LOL............laughing out loud (usually indicative of a slight smile, or to indicate that the author had just written something that could be construed as humorous in some cultures)

ROFL..........Rolling on the floor laughing (usually means that they're doing neither, but think that you're a n00b because of something you said)

ROFLMAO..... Rolling on the floor laughing my arse off (you've managed to make somebody actually smile or have a chuckle - well done!)

OMG..........Oh my god (exclamation of surprise, usually no gods in the near vicinity)

ETC...........mispelling of ect.
