Yes, the spray can be used economically. You just give a light spray to the leather lap.
By the way there was another wheel between 1200 and the felt lap. My machine is packed away at the moment. I forget what it was.

A few stones from today and yesterday. Mudtank Zircons and Killikrankie Blue topaz. The topaz has a bit of a vale but still cut ok.
I quite like the orange one. The two at the front are pink and the one in the back corner fairly clear.
40mm container for scale. Bit of head shadow off the mobile phone.

Beautiful stones MakkyBrown, i really need to get back to the faceting again.
Here are a couple more cabs i have been feeding the grinder with. The sodalite really looks nice with a bit of back light.

Very Nice Shivan. :D.. I have a nice piece here that I will free-form Polish when I get my gear set-up... Is it one of those difficult rocks to Polish or is it pretty easy to work with?

Gemster it seems fairly easy to get a nice polish with the sodalite, quicker going than agate anyways. I took mine through to 14k diamond then tin oxide.

No worries, sound good.... The Piece I have is about 7" tall and 3" round, I would like to try and polish in one piece...Maybe one of those 'Flame' shapes would suit it ... Lots to learn before I attempt this tho.....  beers

After completing a bit of maintenance, all I had time to do was preform 6 tiger eye cabs ready for a small group of guides that are visiting the club in a week or so. Got them all up to the sanding stage so they can complete them during their visit. I've been doing more silver work than anything at the moment.
Common sense isn't exactly common
