does anyone on the forum no if any gem clubs still have lapidary competions, or is it all to hard.im intererested in faceting comps.

Southern Rockhounds have monthly comps.   Half the year to Gemboree diagrams to encourage members to enter the Gemboree, and half the year to their own schedule.
Best if you live in SA and are a member.
Don't know about other clubs.

Gold Coast lapidary Club have a comp covering various categories, Cabbing, Faceting, Silversmithing etc each year in July at their show
