Xoval 1.19 cut in smoky quartz
« on: April 26, 2020, 03:49:00 PM »
Just finished an Xoval 1.19 design in smoky quartz from Andrew Brown's first book.
Very happy with the results. It was pretty straightforward to cut. Anyone see the X?
Details:
Weight 39ct
L 24mm x W 20mm x H 15.5mm
Tasmanian Gladstone smoky quartz

Nice one RC, that looks true to rendering. The X if visible, as it is thin, is only a few degrees either side of face up. It is one of my least imaginative names :)
Looks more fun than I've having atm trying to write code of my concave machine, at least I haven't blown it up yet  ??? .  Working on the making the carriage "home" and oscillate.

Nah, just joking - there are X's galore to be seen.

Maybe turned out to be an Amontillado Sherry (0.9) on the whisky colour scale  beers

Might try a more unusual design from the books next, maybe Trisparkle or a Yin-Yang as I am pleased how the Gladstone quartz is performing, even the slightly darker more problematic shades.
